GT drafts RFID toothbrush proposal

Gintuga Technologies drafted an Architectural Design Proposal for the toothbrush with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) monitoring capability last November 2007.

This project enables the user to monitor the frequency of his brushing sessions as prescribed by the dentist; as well as enabling the user to know when to dispose the toothbrush itself.

Part of the proposal was the architectural analysis that defined the block diagram of the current prototype; several potential solutions to the project was also presented using different microcontrollers; Target Acquisition Guides (TAGS) and Integrated RFID Reader System have also been defined.

Other considerations in the proposal were the budget components estimate, power control systems, mechanical implementations of the Tag and the Reader.
